Ideas that changed the world
The permanent exhibition at the Nobel Museum presents, for the first time, a broad selection of artefacts from the museum’s unique collection of objects connected to Nobel Prize laureates. More than 250 items tell stories of groundbreaking discoveries, revolutionary inventions, courageous peace efforts, innovative literature, and scientific achievements that have shaped our world.
DOT Stockholm was commissioned to develop the exhibition’s graphic design and iconography, creating a visual framework that helps visitors navigate and engage with the many stories behind the Nobel Prize and its laureates. The design system brings clarity and cohesion to a rich and diverse collection, supporting the museum’s ambition to make complex ideas accessible and inspiring.
As one of Stockholm’s most visited museums, the Nobel Museum offers visitors an eclectic journey through human creativity, curiosity, and achievement. Through carefully crafted graphic elements, wayfinding, and visual storytelling, DOT’s contribution helps connect the laureates’ remarkable accomplishments with the objects, ideas, and moments that inspired them.
The result is an engaging exhibition experience where design serves as a guide through more than a century of discoveries and achievements, bringing the Nobel story to life for visitors from around the world.
